The End Is Not In Sight-Art Decade Mix-March 2011

Another incredible mix from Emmett at Art Decade.  This is a wonderful selection of tunes spanning the late 60s, 70s, and 80s.  Quality, Quality, Quality!    all-in-one zip file

Prince - Parade (1986)

The follow-up to Sign O' The Times and soundtrack to Under The Cherry Moon- is another brilliant but lesser heard gem from His Purple Majesties canon!   PATR-P1986.zip

Dwight Twilley Band - Sincerely (1976)

A Five Star Power-Pop Masterpiece (Criminally Ignored and Overlooked) - Dwight Twilley Band - Sincerely.zip

Emeralds - What Happened (2009)

Excellent and mesmirizing trio from Cleveland, OH., (which includes N.O.L.E. fave Mark McGuire on guitar) who specialize in noise/drone/avant ambient electric compositions featuring analog synths, drone guitars, and various other effects.  The compositions have a very melodic and ethereal feel which lends a sense of spiritual exploration to the tracks, and makes Emeralds among some of the most talented and inventive artists currently working in the indie underground - Emeralds - What Happened.zip CHECK IT OUT!

Gary Wilson-You Think You Really Know Me (1977)

Brain-Damaged Electro-Funk from Gary Wilson's homemade 1977 debutYou Think You Really Know Me.zip. This album is considered a keystone among the weird and avant, and way ahead of its time with regards to content and production.  Before the re-issue, this album was considered both legendary and impossible to find.  Thanks to artists such as Beck and Stones Throw Records' Peanut Butter Wolf, Wilson has enjoyed a renewed career and some of the credit he so justly deserves.  Incredible to think a teenager from Endicott, NY. was making music like this in his basement in the mid 1970s.  CRUCIAL!

Pussy Galore - Historia De La Musica Rock [1990]

Historia De La Musica Rock [1990] - The Final P.G. album.  Jon Spencer(Blues Explosion), Neil Hagerty (Royal Trux), and Bob Bert!  A Garage/Punk/Blues Masterwork! Shout Out to Know Your Conjurer.

Squarepusher - Feed Me Weird Things (1996)

The Debut Full-Length from SquarePusher -Feed Me Weird Things.zip. - (1996) - A Jazzed-Out Jungle n Bass affair. A Stone Cold Diamond!  A Superb and Genre/Artist-defining classic!

Goblin - Roller (1976) - Legendary Italian- Prog Rockers!

Goblin - Roller (1976).zip - Goblin (an Italian Prog-Rock combo) are perhaps best known for their legendary soundtrack work for Famous Italian-Horror Auteur Dario Argento. However, they recorded in many different capacities and styles, and in my opinion they did their best work from the mid 70s thru the very early 80s...They were RADICAL and their music is FUCKING AWESOME! This non-soundtrack album from what I consider Prime-Era Goblin is a great place to start. Filled with epic Prog Fireworks, blending horror-movie atmospherics, synthesizers, and jazzy progressive rock complexities, this is CRUCIAL.

Team Montage - Anti Hero Cash Money Vagrant

I have ALWAYS loved skateboarding and skateboarding culture...It is (at its best) the very essence of the "BE YOURSELF" philosophy that N.O.L.E. lovingly embraces and stands for! This snippet of an Anti Hero video from 1998 featuring John Cardiel, Julien Stranger, & Co. is RADICAL, SICK, and GNARLY!!! Far more EPIC than anything Charlie Sheen is currently doing.
