Amon Duul - Paradieswärts Düül [1970]
A MUST HEAR! Exquisite Kraut Folk- Amon Duul II Paradieswärts Düül [1970]
John Phillips - (John, Wolf King of L.A.) (1969)
The first solo album from the Mamas & Papas premier member. Some of the finest compositions he ever penned as well...A laid-back drugged-out country feel (he seems completely out of it on hard and heavy drugs) with top session musicians make for a SPECTACULAR album. DIG! Download - Here
Exuma - Vol. 1 (1970)
A bit of a combination of Bahamian Folk music, and Dr. John at his most voodoo-ed and gris-gris-ed out. Difficult to categorize, but AMAZING! Download - Here

Legendary Norwegian black metal demi-gods Darkthrone display exactly why allmusic.com calls Transilvanian Hunger "a totally irresistible aural assualt..." ps...in case you are not familiar with the Norwegian black metal scene of the early 90s, these guys actually did some of the horrifying things they describe in their music (murder, devil-worship, church-burning, etc.) WICKED!!!! Download - Here
Little Beaver - Joey (1972)
One of my favorite funk and soul guitarists also made incredibly righteous solo albums....All of my followers should be familiar with his Miami soul Classic -Party Down (if not, do so asap)..in the meantime check this one out.... Download - Here
The Grodeck Whipperjenny (1970)
David Matthews (early 70s arranger and writer for James Brown) and this Cinncinati-based group of jazz musicians flex their funk and rock chops on their one and only album for the Godfather of Soul. A wild and funky ride. Dig! Download - Here
Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come - Journey (1972)
The darker side of early 70s prog rock, peppered with numerous electronic flourishes, synthesizers, and drum machines.... Download - Here

Oneohtrix Point Never - Returnal (2010)
Daniel Lopatin is one of my current favorite artists. He rose to prominence with his Oneohtrix project and now is working with a partner under the name Ford & Lopatin. This is his most current release under the Oneohtrix guise and is (in my opinion) the most accomplished. This is beautiful and ethereal electronic ambient music that should not be ignored. Al Green - Full Of Fire (Hi 1976)
One of his last albums before he fully answered the good lord's calling Full Of Fire (Hi 1976) is nonetheless a lesser-heard but equally essential recording. Willie Mitchell produces at the legendary Memphis Hi Records Studio, and if you are are a fan of Al Green and don't already own this album, you will not be dissappointed. FIRE!
Sunburned Hand Of The Man - Fire Escape (2007)
SHOTM is a collective/ensemble that specializes in what has been referred to as Free Folk. Basically an amalgam of far-out folk, avant/free jazz, and myriad other elements and styles of the "underground" musical landscape. This particular Sunburned Hand Of The Man release is special, in that electronic producer (and a N.O.L.E. fave) Four Tet was brought on board to remix a collection of SHOTM jams. The result is an almost dancefloor-ready free-folk electronic jamboree. Highly Recommended! SHOTM -Fire Escape (2007)http://www.mediafire.com/?vmyjgmyymmy

Emeralds - What Happened (2009)
Excellent and mesmirizing trio from Cleveland, OH., (which includes N.O.L.E. fave Mark McGuire on guitar) who specialize in noise/drone/avant ambient electric compositions featuring analog synths, drone guitars, and various other effects. The compositions have a very melodic and ethereal feel which lends a sense of spiritual exploration to the tracks, and makes Emeralds among some of the most talented and inventive artists currently working in the indie underground - Emeralds - What Happened.zip CHECK IT OUT!
Gary Wilson-You Think You Really Know Me (1977)
Brain-Damaged Electro-Funk from Gary Wilson's homemade 1977 debutYou Think You Really Know Me.zip. This album is considered a keystone among the weird and avant, and way ahead of its time with regards to content and production. Before the re-issue, this album was considered both legendary and impossible to find. Thanks to artists such as Beck and Stones Throw Records' Peanut Butter Wolf, Wilson has enjoyed a renewed career and some of the credit he so justly deserves. Incredible to think a teenager from Endicott, NY. was making music like this in his basement in the mid 1970s. CRUCIAL!
